goMobi

The mobile website builder GoMobi is a product of mTLD, the official registry of dot MOBI domain names. Delivered as a Software as a Service, GoMobi doesn’t require either own hosting nor software investment. The builder can be handled by end-users from any web browser. Notice however that GoMobi does not directly provide its service to end users but delivers them through various third party partners including resellers and web hosting providers. The service is also available as plug-in for server management software such as Cpanel and Parallel Plesk or as an API for programmers.

Our opinion on Gomobi mobile website builder

GoMobi can generate beautiful mobile websites even without any particular design skill from its users. Moreover GoMobi comes with an important number of mobile dedicated features while being at the same time very easy to use.

Conversely, the platform has not much pre-built templates and is rather limited in terms of design customization performance. This wouldn’t matter as long as the user’s main concern is to have a professional and modern mobile website site but not design-uniqueness.

How to use Gomobi

GoMobi back-end control interface consists of:

(1) A templates library panel

(2) A modules library panel

(3) And a phone emulator.

In principle, any user can build a mobile website with GoMobi no matter his programming skill. All he has to do is select the mobile website template of his choice among those in the templates library, then customize the mobisite homepage by adding a logo and welcome message and by choosing background colour.

Once the landing page is set, the user can customize remaining mobile pages by adding all contents required by various modules that come with the template (Phone number for Click to call button, link for RSS module, Description for Product Module, …).

A preview of the mobile website is available at any time on the phone emulator.
