LiveSite is a CMS for regular website but it can at the same time generate a mobile version. LiveSite license is available for free or by subscription. Like most of standalone CMS softwares, LiveSite  requires own hosting or third-party hosting. Once installed, LiveSite’s  backend control panel can be managed remotely by its owner from any web browser.

Our review on livesite cms:

LiveSite CMS is a very interesting alternative if one wants to launch both a website and a mobile website. The CMS is pleasant to use and generates well presented pages both on the web and on mobile.

Thanks to its intuitive backend control panel, LiveSite enables the user to easily add the contents he wants to convey and to be online and on mobile in a short time. Moreover, if the user is comfortable with any CMS in general, he can customize to his taste the design of his website/mobisite by editing styles and properties.

Finally, LiveSite is great if one plan to include a large amount of text contents and pictures on one’s mobile website (news, blog, etc..). By cons, dedicated primarily to regular websites, some functions typically required for mobisites are missing (click & call, map, etc.). On the other hand, a certain technical skill (FTP, domain name management, database management) is required since LiveSite users have to manage themselves their servers and install themselves the software.

Summary

PROS: Free and without Ads, Generate website and mobisite at the same time, Beautifully designed (both at back-end and front-end sides), Great for texts rich mobile website (News, blog, etc..), Advanced styles customization allowed.

CONS: Some mobile web dedicated features missing (click & call, etc..), Requires third party server and server management skills.
