Moto CMS
Initially known for its flash websites CMS, Motocms comes now with its own mobile website builder. Thanks to its user friendly and well equipped graphic user interface, Motocms mobile enables anyone to create and to customize – down to the smallest details- each square millimeter of his own mobile pages without going through the usual time-consuming task of forms filling.
Motocms is delivered as Standalone CMS, you can then install the software on your own server and manage it remotely from any browser.
Our review and rating on the mobile cms
Motocms is distinguished by its ease of use while being able to generate a highly customized mobile website that could be far away from other mobile templates you have ever seen.
Actually, Motocms gives user total leeway to customize any mobile page by personalizing components sizes and components locations and consequently getting an unlimited number of possible layout patterns. As for features, Motocms has nothing to envy to its competitors. In fact, apart from standard modules that are similar to most mobile CMS, Motocms has a number of customizable modules that can interface with many third party services (Google document, Twitter, Blogger, Dropbox etc.).
From my point of view Motocms is well adapted for professional designers, developers, web agencies or brands. The builder is highly recommended if one plans to build a highly personalized (both in terms of contents and design) mobile website or if one considers to integrate a large amount of texts and illustrative pictures in mobile website.
By cons, the CMS is less suitable for small businesses who wish only to be visible and reachable through mobile web. Indeed, not only Motocms is pretty oversized for creating a basic mobile website that needs only a few numbers of features (Eg.: Click to call, Map, Text, Pictures, Contact), but also, its use requires a certain design skill as users can get anything and everything with such a limitless design customizability.

Using Moto CMS software
You can edit one by one various pages that make up your mobisite by using Motocms’s wysiwyg editor. The wysiwyg editor works like any other rich-text editor such as MS Word, but apart from standard text formatting tools, it has also special modules and features dedicated to web and mobile web development.
You can add and edit directly your texts (or other contents) on the mobile page to be customized in the same way you use MS Word to edit printable documents. To insert special features, you need to drag relevant modules from the modules library (located on the editor’s toolbar) and drop them to any place of your choice on the page.
You can add as many modules as you want in a page. Many types of module are available, some are used as a mere text or image containers while others are for more specific purposes including mobile navigation menu, form and interactive map.
When modules are in place, you can -if applicable- customize their settings by using corresponding filling forms. You can as well customize properties and styles (colors, sizes, …) of each module by using the customisation panel located next to the wysiwyg editor.
Moreover, you can at any time move, resize any modules by drag and drop. And more importantly, if you are an inexperienced user you can use the built-in step-by-step guided wizard to further facilitate design customization.
