Unity Mobile

Unity Mobile website mobilizer enables website owners to automatically generate mobile friendly versions of their existing websites. Delivered as Software as as Service, Unity Mobile mobilizer implementation doesn’t need either own hosting nor plug-in install on the original website. The mobilizer is available by subscription and users can handle its back-end control panel from any web browser.

Unity Mobile mobilizer is an integral part of the website builder Unity Mobile Unity Pro and Unity Mobile Easy. Details of these services are available in the Mobile Website Builder category. In this post, I will simply describe the mobilizer part of the pack.

Great mobile friendly sites generator

In my point of view, Unity Mobile mobilizer is a good alternative for those who don’t want a mere adaptation of their original website but who look for in-depth customization both in terms of contents and design.

Firstly, Unity Mobile is among the few website mobilizer that split into many tiny modules any content imported from the source website. In such a way, Unity Mobile users acquire unlimited leeway to reorganize, edit or delete imported contents and then to manually optimize them, down to the smallest details, for mobile display.

In addition, more than a mere adaptation of contents, Unity Mobile comes with special modules that the user can use to add mobility features to his mobile website. Available features include among others Mobile Map, Opening hour, Social share and so on.

Finally, thanks to its its many pre-set colors packs, Unity Mobile enables the user to instantly change the design of his mobile website in just a few clicks.

By cons, although Unity Mobile website mobilizer is pretty easy to use, it involves a large number of parameters and may be confusing for inexperienced users or for those who wants to head straight for the objective.

As for the performance of conversion, the test I carried out was inconclusive. Only a portion of the website I tested was successfully mobilized. However, since results may vary from one website to another (depending on the source website technology), I invite you to try it with your own website and share your experiences with us.

Summary

PROS: Several prebuilt templates, Offer a website mobilizer and a mobile website builder with one subscription, The user can select website’s elements he want to mobilize, Powerful customization tools (both in terms of contents and design).

CONS: Too many parameters, Mobilization did not work during my test.
